At the end of June, Hong Kong Polytechnic University students finished their internships in Moscow International Higher Business School MIRBIS

During the internship, the students got to know Russian corporate culture and working practice in large corporations, applied knowledge and skills which they acquired in the university, practiced skills of corporate and vocational communication, conducted research and analysis. 

Thus, the interns carried out research on artificial intelligence, export and import of educational services in global context and application of technological innovations in educational processes. The topic "Artificial intelligence" has become hot recently because of considerable development of neural nets which in its turn has become possible with the advent of mighty computers.

In their research on artificial intelligence the students analyzed examples of using Big Data, artificial intelligence, innovational gadgets, blockchain and other methods that contribute to improving the efficiency of work in Russian and foreign companies. The educational research covered the following topics: hot trends of export/import of educational services, educational platforms, a comparative analysis of the educational market of Russia and China etc.

At the end of the internship, the students successfully defended their projects.
Rector M.N. Zhivaev, prorector for educational and methodical work Y.I. Kuptsova, director of International Department N.G. Pecheritsa and international department staff were present at the project defense. 

The internship of students was limited not only to work. Within the cultural programme they visited the towns of the Golden ring, got acquainted with St. Petersburg, the northern capital of Russia, and also travelled to Siberia to Lake Baikal.  This year, students were lucky to be in Moscow during the main sporting event of the planet – the 2018 FIFA World Cup. During this period, Moscow became the center of the football universe, incredible festive atmosphere reigned everywhere in the streets of the capital. The students made a lot of friends among fans from different countries.
