Maxim Zhivaev: It is impossible to train specialists for any industry without adding values to education
The fifth Olympiad for schoolchildren "In the beginning was the Word ...", held by the Moscow Orthodox Institute of St. John Theologian, became the subject of the discussion in the studio of the television channel "Tsargrad TV".

Schoolchildren of all regions of Russia participate in the Olympiad. Competitions are held in four subjects: literature, Russian language, history and social science. How important is the knowledge of humanitarian disciplines for future experts in various sectors of the economy? Is there a demand for the experts who understand the history and literature of their country?

Rector of MIRBIS Institute M.N. Zhivaev was one of the participants of the discussion.

Discussing the question of how important it is for education to hold such Olympiads Maxim Zhivaev said that the importance of this event cannot be overestimated.

"Though our institute prepares specialists for business - managers, financiers, economists - we do not forget about moral values in the educational process. Now the business community has a demand for not only skilled employees but also for the ones with moral values", said the Rector of MIRBIS institute.

The head of the oldest business school in Russia is convinced that it is impossible to train specialists for any industry without laying values in education for its future development. How important is the knowledge of the history and literature of our country for business experts? Answering this question Maxim Zhivaev noted that such knowledge refers to general cultural competencies, without which the training of any specialists cannot be considered of high quality.

"These competencies are classified as the key ones for the representatives of the business community. History and culture cannot but have a direct impact on the development of business communications", said the Rector of MIRBIS Institute.
