At the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum, experts of the Financial Research Institute of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation discussed topical issues of corporate social responsibility with government officials and the business community.

Among the main issues discussed at the round table "Effective Corporate Responsibility Today" were such important topics as the transition from support to social investment with the effective participation of business in the implementation of programmes of socio-economic development of territories. Another aspect that was touched upon by the participants of the round table was improving the effectiveness of corporate social obligations and guarantees to employees.

In her speech, Svetlana Gerasimova spoke about the level of development of CSR projects and strategies, sustainable development of green investments in Russian companies; about the necessity to train managers with integrated managerial thinking, meta-competencies, knowledge of standards and approaches, that will be able to manage and initiate CSR and SD projects and future green investment projects which radically change technologies and industries.

"Green investment markets are increasing in the world. So far, we don't have enough green projects in Russia. Green investments are not about ecology but about the economy! There are interesting financial instruments for companies to enter the growing markets of green investments, sustainable investments,"- said Svetlana Gerasimova.
