Russian-German Chamber of Commerce was founded in Russia on 27 April, 2006. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Representative Office and the Union of German Economy in the Russian Federation were actively involved in the implementation of this project.
Russian-German Chamber of Commerce opened in Moscow on December 14, 2007.
The main principle of the Chamber's work is bilateral parity. All German companies interested in establishing close economic ties with Russia, as well as Russian companies seeking to enter the German market can become members of Russian-German Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber of Commerce is the first body that assists Russian and German companies with all economic issues regarding the partner country.
The Chamber of Commerce provides member companies the following services:
market research and support services at the stage of entering the markets of both countries;
searching for business partners, staff and territories for business development as well as initial support in establishing a new company;
professional development courses.
The Chamber of Commerce implements in its activities the principle of cooperation between private and state bodies. On the one hand, the Chamber is funded by contributions from its members. On the other hand, the Chamber carries out public assignments of German bodies that support the development of Germany's foreign trade.
The main purpose of Russian-German Chamber of Commerce is an active interaction with all German and Russian partners, as well as targeted support of small and medium-sized companies that constitute more than 90% of all members of the Chamber.
Moscow International Higher Business School MIRBIS (Institute) became a member of Russian-German Chamber of Commerce in 2013.
